ABOUT LOWRYS ONLINE
Established in 2008, Lowrys Online is a web-based boutique casting and modeling agency whose core business is the development and placement of models, actors and associated talent into the roles in film, TVC, print and catalog advertisements, fashion shows and pageants. Models from Lowrys Online work around the world and have appeared in various TVC’s, films, TV productions as well as graced catwalks from Nairobi to China and many, many more!
Being web-based means that 40% of our business is conducted online through correspondence with clients, receipt of model and casts applications by a meticulous vetting process, submission of photos for casting, etc. The remaining 60% includes processes such as conducting model photo-shoots, training and development of our models and talent through workshops and various training programs, conducting and coordinating auditions for clients and seeking suitable opportunities for models and casts.
The Agency is duly registered, recognized and licensed to operate by the Government of Kenya, and also registered as a taxpayer submitting all returns collected to the Kenya Revenue Authority as stipulated by Law.

IS THERE A FEE TO BE REPRESENTED BY YOUR AGENCY?
Yes. We charge KES 1,000 yearly as Agency joining fees for representation; this fee is carried over for three years if a model or talent does not secure a paying job with the Agency. We also collect KES 300 annually from all members on our roster on behalf of the Kenya Casting Agents Models and Talent Welfare Association (KECAMTWA), of which Lowrys Online is a Corporate Member. These fees are only payable once you are Approved to join the Agency and signed a contract and never before; WE DO NOT COLLECT MONEY TO MEET YOU. Note: Please do not send us payments before you have been registered. Register first and we will send you instructions on payment. The Agency earns its main revenue from the standard 20% agency commission on work models perform through our agency and a 10% service charge to clients.
IS THERE A FEE TO BE ON LOWRYS ONLINE WEBSITE?
No. Lowrys Online conducts photo-shoots for all registered members and provides an equal opportunity free of charge to them by giving adequate exposure through creation of online marketing profiles used in our websites and blogs.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT I WILL GET A JOB?
No. No agency can guarantee work. Ultimately, the client makes the final decision on whether or not a model is booked, not the agency.
ONCE I AM SIGNED WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Your main responsibility is to attend every casting. Auditions are a privilege not an option and they are your key to succeeding in the business. Make sure to keep in touch with your agent - you MUST call or email us once every month just to touch base.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MODELS
From time to time we receive information that individuals who DO NOT work for Lowrys Online are fraudulently misrepresenting themselves as being scouts or employees of our agency. If you are contacted by Lowrys Online it will ONLY be because you contacted us first; our recruitment drives are only for meeting and vetting applicants who first applied to join us through this website. We only use email addresses from "lowrysonline.com" and never send emails from Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail or any other outside email address.We DO NOT have scouts or employees that use MySpace or Facebook to scout for models and we will NEVER use chat rooms or other outside webpages to chat to you about modeling for our agency. We will also NEVER ask you to appear for us on a web cam.
